Builders: do not start notifiable work early
Opening up a party wall, digging the trench, or dropping a chimney because the client is keen is how straightforward files become urgent ones.

Ask for the served copy
If you are on site, ask which version was served and whether the response period is still running. If the drawings in your hand are a newer revision, stop and send them to the file. Consent or an Award on the old revision may not cover you.
