Professional standards

Statutory Party Wall work is personal professional work. The platform is the file, the clock and the gate. It is not the surveyor.

General information. Status: pending project-specific review by a qualified Party Wall professional. House-style review 27 September 2026.

Before a partner is offered a matter

  • Identity of the person and the firm
  • Insurance evidence with an expiry date
  • A stated list of work they will not accept
  • Conflicts checked against the addresses on the file
  • No live RICS claim unless the record is verified

Before a statutory document is marked served

  • Notice type confirmed by the reviewer, not only by software
  • Owners and addresses checked
  • Drawings attached and identified by revision
  • Professional approval of that version
  • Building owner’s authority, where the document is served for them
  • Method of service and proof stored

If any of those are missing, service is blocked. That is deliberate. A user cannot click past it.

Conflicts and pressure

A firm that has already advised one owner on the same work is not quietly offered to the other. Adjoining owners are not written to in language that suggests dissent is obstructive. Marketing pages do not say consent is guaranteed.

Requires review by a qualified UK Party Wall professional and appropriate legal and insurance adviser before these standards are used as a client-facing promise of the live business.
