Schedule of Condition
A Schedule of Condition describes what the adjoining property was like before work. It is often the most useful page in the file if there is later a disagreement about a crack.
General information. Status: pending project-specific review by a qualified Party Wall professional. House-style review 27 September 2026.
It can be commissioned with a notice even where the neighbour consents, or as part of a surveyor’s preparation for an Award. It is optional on a pure consent path unless your professional advises otherwise.
- Room-by-room and external notes
- Photographs with time, and location only where you have agreed
- A list of areas that were not inspected
- Limitations written in ordinary language
- Professional sign-off and a versioned PDF
Unless a structural survey has been separately commissioned, the report will say that it is not a structural survey.
