Steel beams in a party wall
The engineer’s layout shows the bearing. A verbal description that “there will be a steel” is not enough to draft from.

What the reviewer looks for
Which wall the beam sits on, whether that wall is the party wall, how it is padstoned or cut in, and whether a chimney or a floor is coming out at the same time.
The structural design remains the engineer’s. A Party Wall Notice does not size the beam.
