Excavation and foundation Party Wall Notices
Digging near someone else’s foundations is one of the more common reasons a notice is needed, even when you are not cutting into their wall. The detail is in the depth and the distance. We will not pretend a postcode form can measure either.

Upload the foundation drawing, the section, and a note of how close the trench is to the boundary. If the engineer has not designed the foundations yet, we can still open a file, but we will not draft a notice from a planning drawing alone.
Basements, underpinning and piling are not priced as ordinary excavation. They are held for a senior reviewer and matched only to partners who state that they accept that work and whose insurance is in date.
An excavation notice, where one is required, is usually served at least one month before the excavation. That period is a general rule and must be checked.
