Surveyors
Party Wall surveyor
When a notice is dissented, or nobody replies and the statutory request process is used, a surveyor may need to be appointed. We introduce you to an independent professional. We do not appoint them for you, and we do not act as that surveyor.
General information. Status: pending project-specific review by a qualified Party Wall professional. House-style review 27 September 2026.
Three different jobs
- Agreed surveyor — one person, only where both owners are willing
- Building owner’s surveyor — appointed by the person doing the work
- Adjoining owner’s surveyor — appointed by the neighbour
A third surveyor is selected in some two-surveyor matters. That is a statutory role, not a helpline upgrade, and it is only recorded here when the appointed surveyors have actually selected someone.
What “vetted” means here
Partners provide identity, insurance evidence, coverage and the work they will accept. RICS membership is shown only if that partner’s record is marked verified. “Vetted” is not the same as “RICS approved”, and we do not use that phrase. Insurance status can expire; expired records are blocked from new high-risk matches.
You are introduced to a separate firm. Their professional appointment, if you make one, is with them.
